I think it’s important for all of us who live in this area. It’s why we love this area, because it’s got this conservation ethos and these wild spaces. So I think it’s up to all of us to maintain that in the future. And this is one way to do that—to secure it forever, hopefully.

In this interview on Hoedspruit FM, Romy Antrobus-Wuth discusses the Kruger to Canyons (K2C) Biosphere’s Corridor Project, which aims to establish conservation corridors linking Kruger National Park to the escarpment.

This initiative aligns with a long-term UNESCO biosphere vision to enhance biodiversity protection, safeguard water sources, and promote sustainable land use. The project involves private landowners, conservation authorities, and agricultural stakeholders in securing ecologically significant areas.

While the ideal vision includes wildlife movement between Kruger and the mountains, the immediate focus is on maintaining ecological integrity through legal land protection mechanisms. Romy emphasizes the importance of community collaboration, land stewardship, and sustainable conservation efforts.

Thank you to Hoedspruit FM Stream for giving K2C this platform to share our story!
